Finding Home

East Nashville, TN- April 23, 2011

Like an echo straining to hear what has been said -

My home is found
in knowing I am safe
at home -
even when far away.

Today I was blessed to attend the grace filled house of East End United Methodist Church-Easter blessings spilled into my heart as I stood beside my son and his wife.  Overcome -- have you ever been overcome by a moment being too wonderful? When you know for a fact that Gods love has not left this world and in fact is right there that very second? So much better than  colored eggs and chocolate. There was not a basket or bunny in sight today - Although I do recall a rousing rendition of "Little Bunny Foo Foo". After church we had a lovely lunch and talked. Followed by a foray into a hot tub under a an oak tree with week old leaves. Then the rain came and chased us inside.  The day brought text messages, emails and phone calls. It brought stories and music and laughter. It brought blessings- even without bunnies.

I moved tearfully beyond

  3. Sounds like a wonderful day, Teri. We had not a bunny or basket either. We did have the company of our daughter, who shared in conversation and good food, and her dog, who entertains without trying to be entertaining. Those are the moments that convince me of God's love.
