Cicada's Song

Cicada's Song by Teri H Hoover©

Through an open window.
The first cicada finds its voice.
Why do I hear the end of summer?

Summer Shoes

`

Joanne's Front Porch, Blacksburg, Va-  July 21, 2012

Stepping into each moment lightly
We catch summer in our shoes.

For all the teachers in Montgomery County, VA who head back to school tomorrow to prepare for the arrival of students next week. You leave your summer shoes behind way too early. I thank you. To all teachers everywhere you are a blessing. xo teri

Lighting Your Way

Blackcreek, NY-July 27, 2009

Moving aside impossibilities,
the path has became wide.
And for a brief moment, a bit of light.

I am walking along my path, set with a direction for my energy. A lovely path of connection, allowing my heart a safe place to be.  Unwanted ambivalence steps onto the path.  The sources are too many to name.  My heart retracts, my breath restricted- there is an ominous darkness ahead. I have learned to  turn directly to God, who takes my hand and carries my fear - so I can breathe. He laughs and says, be here with me, I will light your way.

The Pause

Taos Inn, Taos, NM-June 8, 2010

When I said I was making peace
with winter-
he paused.

A River of Stones - A 30 day challenge in observation

This digitally transformed image is from a photo I took last summer while on vacation in Taos, New Mexico.  Do I day dream a bout summer in winter? Al the time. While making peace with winter - I still dream of summer.

Let's see ...
