A sad little photo, taken on one of my early morning walks in Key West, Florida. You may need to click on the image to enlarge it, just to see this heart in the dark.

I thought this might fit the "Black and White Wednesday theme- but then I thought - since it is my first time doing this challenge I should add a "real" black and white image-

My son and daughter-in-law... what posers.

I love taking photos, it is fun. I love buying fabric, it is fun. While on vacation this past spring, I took this image of the funky light while shopping for fabric.  And that word again was:

FUN!

And just one more heart...I was cutting a lemon for my water a while back -

Kitchen Counter

there was a lemon heart for Guest Heart Thursday

Hope everyone is having a good May- ( May is one of my busies months for photography.. So blogging takes a back seat- hope to visit you all very soon!)

She Waits...

`
Key West Cemetery, Key West, FL- April 2, 2012

 She waits.
 In the time between.

Church grounds, St Mary's -Star of the Sea Catholic Church,  Key West, FL- April 1, 2012

Joining my daughter in Key West, Florida- I am finding lots to photograph. No surprise there. The fact that I am traveling at all is the amazing part. But, I have learned to take advantage of the time my husband is away, to visit with our adult children. It is a tough job- but someone has to do it. Time to go out and photograph some more. And yes, I brought my Canon 5 D and am not just using my cell phone. Blessings for Holy Week. xo teri

Among the Branches

Take a Word Challenge- Angel -March 18, 2012
Created March 19, 2012 by Teri H Hoover

Huckleberry Trail, Blacksburg, VA- Feb 2012
Angel from royalty images on google
4 other layers created from my images in photoshop

"Angels are spirits, but it is not because they are spirits that they are angels. They become angels when they are sent. For the name angel refers to their office, not their nature. You ask the name of this nature, it is spirit; you ask its office, it is that of an Angel, which is a messenger."
   -Saint Augustine

Each breath
Each step
a blessing.

Oh yes!  I think I am getting the hang of this layering thing in photoshop. With each image I create my ability to choose the images I want to layer and blend, gets easier. I am ready to fly.

We Could Blame it on Blogger

We could blame it on the fact that Blogger was down
for TWO days last week
But alas
life is just rather full

backyard garden, Blacksburg VA-May 13, 2011

of blessings.

Last week was rainy and the first full week I had my husband back from his travels. That transition - while completely wonderful does tend to slow down time to write. Also I took a day trip to Harrisonburg, VA with a quilter friend and visited the Virginia Quilt Museum.

and then bought a wee bit of fabric at the Patchwork Plus Quilt Shop

and laughed at this license plate-

The next day it was time to get down to the business of invitations for my daughters shower on June 11- that was a process. BUT just in a nick of time -at 4:15 I mailed out the 20 plus hand made invitations.

Blacksburg VA Post Office-May 11, 2011
That felt good- and then came Thursday that disappeared right into Friday -when I needed to pack by noon - off to NYC.
I could finish there - but the flowers are so lovely-

What the Angels See

Kitchen Window, Blacksburg, VA- Jan 3, 2011

There is an angel in the window.
She is there all year long.

What does she see?
A stunning string of days held together by grace.
