Kitchen table, Blacksburg, VA- Jan 5, 2012
I have too much on my kitchen table; my wonderful, deep, apple-green, chopsticks might not match; I took my tree down before the magi came; my washing machine is leaking; and I am troubled by the question, "what excites you?", posed by in email I asked to receive.
So ok, just now, I paused to re-read the question- and it says, "What are the things that really excite you or inspire you?" Oh!!! Excite OR inspire. I can handle inspire. Can you believe how prickly I got over the word excite versus inspire? What is the deal with the word excite? Pausing...I will leave that one alone for now. I may not think much about being exited, but I love to find and create places that are filled with calm. So now everything is peachy, I have returned to not feeling less than because I shy away from excitement.
So now I am off, to fearlessly answer what inspires me. What inspires you?
By the way the second question is, "is there any unfinished business in your life?" That one is easy. It gets a resounding, "yes!" For starters, why don't I like the word excite?
