Happy Wednesday.... sliding into Thursday ....Everyone-
`
Do you ever have times in your life when things seem to be sliding out of control... but nothing is really happening? Maybe it is just me then. I can say with my husband away for 18 days I am a bit crazy. Crazier.
I think my impending shoulder surgery, on June 26th, has me in a bit of a tizzy. Yes, surgery. Rotator cuff. On my right shoulder. I am right handed. I know, I know a long recovery time. So taking my mind off that... here are my images and contributions for the following challenges.

Creativity is wonderful. But amidst the creativity we all need to take time to recharge. We need to pause. Many of you know my word for the 2012 has been pause. The art of pausing is all around us. Birds pause to listen, the wind pauses to rest. Some times I pause intentionally, sometimes I pause in sheer exhaustion. My sweet daughter-in-law takes a pause from preparations to go on the road. In this next year, she and my son will be taking their second CD on the road. It is a lot of fun- but a lot of work

Terri! I am SO glad you joined us! LOVE your entry. I am hooked... I watched "This World A Box" music video... REALLY Wonderful! You have one talented Son & daughter in law, AND how beautiful are they, btw!
ReplyDeleteMelanie- I am so glad you enjoyed their music. This second album is being professionally produced in a studio in Nashville- so exiting! Thank you.
DeleteThe black and white version of this shot is so cool. Thanks so much for linking up and don't forget to tell your friends to vote on facebook starting Friday!
ReplyDeleteSo much talent and beauty, I know you are proud of them. I found them on Spotify so I am really enjoying "Take It All Back" right now. Things are out of control around here. But WHEN I don't try to control everything God shows me His plan that was there all along, and it's always AMAZING!
MC- Thank you- it is always so much fun to bring black and white into a photo.
DeleteSpotify? Oh dear... sounds like something more for me to learn about!
AND how right you are...my pausing is so often just to step back and see where God needs me to be. And sometime He just wants me to be still.
Good luck with your surgery. Rotator cuff injuries are pain (so I hear from family). Will you husband be back in time for your surgery? I would go NUTS if Brett was gone for 18 days.
ReplyDeleteHey Annette- Yes..oh yes.He will be back for the surgery! He will be in the waiting room... probably sleeping off his jetlag. He travels to Asia 3-4 times a year- so I am pretty used to it..kind of.
DeleteLove the music video! What talent. Lots of luck with the surgery. Preparing for something like that can be a bit daunting. Best of luck, and hope your husband is home soon!
ReplyDeleteJeanne - Thanks so much for your kind words. I am trying to look at my surgery as an adventure. We will see how that goes. The husband is back in the country two days before surgery... so he will be here. Jet lagged but here.
DeleteSome really great stuff here.
ReplyDeleteLoved your entry for Photo Art Friday - Musical stuff is so cool.
Such a pretty flower for the Flower Art Friday meme.
Good luck on that upcoming shoulder surgery. I had a minor shoulder surgery many years ago and was never sorry I had it. I pray yours will go smoothly.
Ida- thanks so much for coming by. Thanks so much for the prayers. Now I am off to see your entry!
DeleteYes, I do know the feeling very well. :) Hope your surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery. Love the video and I will definitely try to catch them in a show. I'm here in Nashville, and wish I didn't have plans Saturday night or I'd go see them in Madison. Will be checking back. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely flower with Flower Art Friday. :)
ReplyDeleteLeAnne- Thanks so much for your good wishes on the upcoming surgery. It will be nice to eventually have full use of my shoulder again. All things in time. And thanks for taking a look at the YOU KNEW ME WHEN website. They live in East Nashville and met at Belmont University 8 years ago. They LOVE Nashville.
DeleteTrying to answer your email, but some sort of glitch with my email. Love to hear from you and will reply as soon as the email issue ( goes away magically). More later
ReplyDelete:-) "I will look forward to it!" she says, waving her magic wand.
DeleteGreat pictures. I like that little break, nice and beautiful flowers. regards
ReplyDeleteLeovi- We all need a little break now and then. :-)
DeleteWhat great images....and editing!
ReplyDeleteEvelyn- Thank you very much.
DeleteI really like the picture of your daughter-in-law, but all of your photos are wonderful. We'll keep you in our prayers for your surgery (and recovery).
ReplyDeleteLove the treatment on your flower. All the best with your upcoming surgery. Sometimes we get an enforced pause ... an opportunity to read, think, relax and just be. Thank you for sharing your work with Photo Art Friday, Teri.
