This quilt was made as a way through grieving
after the death of my 21 year old nephew on October 21, 2009.
The full poem is on my blog  A small stone Gathering   
I picked this quilt up from the quilter on October 4-
it would have been my nephews 23rd birthday. 
We miss you Stephen-

    Oh Teri, this is so beautiful. I'm so sorry for your loss, for the worlds loss. My friend's son is twenty and battling cancer right now. It breaks my heart.

    A healing quilt ~ I love that. I remember the first time I saw your photo of the quilt pieces; I thought they were glowing. The finished quilt is stunning.

    The overlapping of dates always amazes me ~ I have come to think of it as part of the cycle of life.
