No Matter how You Slice Them...

My post from "Our Wild Hearts" blog

No matter how you slice them...

 My tomatoes have heart!
I have ALOT of tomatoes - a bumper crop in fact. So we are eating a lot of tomatoes this summer... but that is ok- because they make me smile. Can you believe all these hearts!!??? Me either.

  1. Beautiful colored photographs of
    Wild Hearts
made me smile, for I too love the arts,
it also reminded me of the croute
and the question whether tomato is a vegetable or a fruit?
But whatever the answer these seem
    so juicy and fresh
Just right for a Kashmiri recipe to make
    'tomato chutney mesh'
    Lovely presentation Teri.

  2. Gorgeous tomatoes! We used to can those, too, years ago when our kids were little and we had a neighbor with an overflow from their garden.

  5. Sharon- when my children were young it was a lucky thing if they were fed on time. The canning as you know is a new endeavor-giving me all new things to photograph. - xo teri

  6. Cynnie- My poor camera does not get much of a rest - even when I am in the midst of dinner prep. My husband knows it can take awhile due to the need to photograph what I am doing- I think that is why I am usually just the sous-chef. xo teri

  7. If your tomatoes taste as good as they look, you've truly had a garden of blessings this year.
