A Weekend Afternoon Remembered

Bridle House, Roanoke, VA- June 11, 2011

Before the afternoon...
We spent the morning with my daughters wedding dress. The train of her dress reminded me of perfect whipped cream, with a bit of appliqued lace. Bits of the bodice reminded us of fragile phyllo dough. It had a row of buttons up the back that neither of us remembered. It is just a fantastic dress.

We arrived home to a flourish of helpful friends and a wonderful husband. All things were in place by 12:55 and guests started to arrive promptly at 1.

With lunch prepared the men took off to a near by brew pub.
A house filled with what a house loves to be filled with-
love and laughter.

She glowed while receiving enough books to start a small library.
Each book inscribed and circling her with good words and love.

Party Remnants

This celebration allowed many people the opportunity to bless a young woman as she moves toward a new place. I am grateful to everyone for their love and their help.
I was able to even find small heart for my other blog-
(Our Wild Hearts)

  2. I love the way you described your daughter's dress, Teri. It sounds almost a bit too edible! lol Beautiful photography as always. :) Congratulations to your daughter and also to you for being the best mom for her! :)

Thank you so much for your well wishes about my recent publication and for stopping by my blog! I need to go back to it as I've been writing in a paper journal instead (which I haven't done for years, but it feels great writing instead of typing!). :)
