On a cold dismal day this past January 11th I wrote a small stone called Along the Edges. Today's photo does have that same "low to the ground" feel- just with lots of green instead of snow- thank goodness.
I was featured on Random Hearts by Clytie for her Guest Heart Thursday. I am quite honored because Clytie has quite the eye for finding hearts! WOW- thank you!
Speaking of honors I've been awarded a blogging award by Annette over at Hoofprints in my Garden for my small stones blog A small stone Gathering Thank you Annette- this is my first blogging award-
Versatile yet balanced--- that is my intention - so thank you very much!.
I have tremendous respect for Annette who just completed a month long poetry challenge! She is a fellow Writing Our Way Home member and her blog is a great place to sit back and enjoy life from someone who loves the outdoors and horses. Check it out-
So I researched this award and it appears I should list 7 things about myself and share the award with others.
1. My dog Pepper takes me for a 2 miles walk nearly everyday.
2. I like to make chili
3. I started taking photographs in 6th grade so I would have something to draw.
4. My 9th grade English teacher said I needed a good editor.
5. I am the oldest of 6 siblings
6. I have a husband, two grown children, and am blessed beyond measure.
7. The heart of the matter usually is looking right at you .
And please check out these great blogs:

I am so excited to see your new blog! I can hardly wait!!!!!!! What a wonderful name "Our Wild Hearts".
ReplyDeleteIt was MY privilege to feature your gorgeous tulip heart on Guest Heart Thursday. I am in awe of how many hearts can be found in our world - if we just stop long enough to look "along the edges".
Here you are! Beautiful. and Congratulations on the honors for your blog.I too can't wait to check out your new endeavor Our Wild Hearts. New Edges.
ReplyDeleteThanks Teri! I have to say that I am secretly glad the A-Z challenge is over (and poetry month) - writing a poem a day is hard work! Thanks so much for all your encouragement and kind words. Hugs-
