Dan's Willow in Blacksburg

Blacksburg, VA - Nov. 16, 2009

Sometimes we give each other small blessings-
That only show their true color and worth after many years.
-
This willow has found it's most glorious self  20 years after it was planted.
A gift from my brother Dan - a small cutting wrapped in damp burlap- it certainly did not look like much.
But I accepted it with great joy,
knowing someday its graceful branches would bring me great peace.

-

Why is it so hard to wait while God reveals His plan.
We become tired.

Frustration sets in sapping every trace of patience and hope.
How can this situation ever become a blessing?

God's plentiful love like a willow in autumn-
scattering little golden leaves in abundance.

Thank-you Dan
