For my mother.
I see how you struggle
I wonder if your heart can ever find rest.
Once a flower of deepest red-
you huddle in the soil
forgetting your worth.
There are more ways to move than forward.
Two posts may have been called for here- but alas there is only so much time in a day. And I do flit between emotions rather abruptly lately. So bear with me .Onward - Forward? to a brighter place..
Shifting toward thankfulness and a place to be inspired
This was a first for me - a screen shot! It shows the textures from Bonnie that were considered, the 'backdrop" one is one I did from a close up of a sweater. I used the top left one, the top right one, the bottom left one and the bottom middle one. I added the a circular sundial photo of mine twice, ( I cannot tell you what I did to it- something with the difference filter I think. It was also the first time I used the lasso tool with any success.) I also added my "thank you Bonnie" lettering. Lots of layers and textures-just for you Bonnie. Thanks again.
And while cooking with my sister. (She read the recipe aloud while we connected via Google Video Chat) I found a red pepper heart. I actually see two hearts here.

Thank you Leslie- I love finding hearts.
DeleteLove the hues of your paf image - and that sundial is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnna- so nice to have you stop by. I had fun with that sundial. Hope I can remember how to use the Lasso tool so I can do something similar in the future.
DeleteYou are a very keen observer, I would preserve that two hearts if I were you hehehe.

Hearts hanging out happily - Thanks for stopping by Rose!
DeleteYour thankful piece has such a sweet overall feel to it. I really like the color choices and you have just enough going on to spark interest. It is really cool that you're able to hang with your sister while you cook. My sister and I do similar with FaceTime so I can interact with my niece, even though we live more than an hour apart.
ReplyDeleteKris- So nice to meet you through Bonnie's Photo Art Friday. My sister and I live 534 miles apart, so we have to be pretty creative about finding ways to hang out together. Technology really does have some plus sides.
DeleteHow fun to talk with your sister as you are cooking... it was serendipitous that the hearts just 'showed up" Lovely digital creations Teri! HOpe you have a great rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteJeanne- This was our first ever sister cook off. We are fry it again next Wednesday- and this time I will have all the right ingredients! Have a great time on your cruise- and I cannot wait to see what you do with that infrared filter!
DeleteFirst of all, what a great way of staying in touch with your sister!
ReplyDeleteSecond of all, love the hearts!
Third of all, what a beautiful macro - love the processing!
Ewa- Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. Have a great week- Looking forward to hearing about your dog...
DeleteInteresting what we "see". Yes, the seeds do make a heart! Love your edits - particularly the amaryllis.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn - thanks for finding the hearts. I saw the seeds heart first, and did not see the other heart until I was in Photoshop!
DeleteYes I see two hearts in the pepper and love the amaryllis. What a great way to be with your sister.
ReplyDeleteThank you Miriam- so nice to have your comments.
Deletea fine, HEALTHY plant!
ReplyDeleteHURRAY! :-)
DeleteBeautiful images ... and I LOVE finding HEARTS! I see both of them :)
ReplyDeleteKerri- hearts are everywhere. Once you start looking. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteBEautimousness throughout, Teri!! I love your PAF piece and how softly and subtly you combined everything into a BEautiful whole new image!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could learn HOW to talk face-to-face with someone, but just getting me on the telephone takes a team of wild horses!!! LOL.
Lovely post and Happy Weekend to you.
Currie- I am not a phone person either. But I do love using the video chat technology. (If you don't use Gmail-skype is the easiest to set up.)I don't have to hold a phone in my hands to talk. I don't know why but that is the part about talking on the phone that bothers me the most.
DeleteGlad you liked my PAF image,it was a lot of fun to spend some time in Photoshop.
Like the way you have created your art.
ReplyDeleteBest whishes.

The Amaryllis flower is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour PAF piece is so lovely. I love the Sundial image (reminded me of a lace doily)
How fun to cook via video chat with your sister. Isn't technology amazing!
Wonderful images...love the effects you are creating. I agree...how fun to cook with your sister via video!
ReplyDeleteSo many comments and so many things I have no experience with....I have so much to learn! The photo is striking. I pulled out my Canon 35 mm camera this week to put in new batteries. Should I bother? I remember so many times that was the way I preserved our family memories that I am reluctant to let it go for good. I found an old roll of film that I may drop in just to see what happens next ~
