Happy Wednesday.... Nope it is Saturday-and that is all I have to say about that..
`
WELL we are closing in on Tuesday, June 26th. A year of shoulder pain, from a torn rotator cuff, will be subjected to the whims of one Dr Miller. I have worked diligently to make needed preparations for the 4-6 weeks of having only three functioning appendages.
How does one put on a shirt with one arm? Eat left handed? Unscrew a jar? Wash your hair? Walk the dog? Sew? Garden? Type? Lift and shoot a 2 pound camera? I think the answer to most of these questions is, "you don't". I confess I have been practicing eating left handed- and I won't starve.

The other day I heard about someones upcoming trip to France in yoga class. Later, I told the teacher I was going to pretend my surgery was like a trip to France. She laughed. Now every time I see her she asks how my preparations for my trip are going?

So taking my mind off
that... here are my images and contributions two of my very favorite blogs to link up to for their great challenges and friendly people.
See you all in a few weeks.

I hope you will get wellagain soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Minor. It is great to have you come and visit from so far away!
DeleteBeautiful roses ♥ all of them!
ReplyDeleteMona- I <3 roses too! But I love all flowers. Thanks for stopping by,
DeleteLovely shots and treatments Teri. Have a wonderful trip! I broke both bones in my arm a year and a half ago and had two pins put in. It's awkward to try and function with just 3 limbs - but you will find your own ingenious ways of coping, I'm sure. Time to read all those books you've been wanting to read. Best wishes for a successful surgery and a happy recovery. Thanks for sharing at Photo Art Friday.
ReplyDeleteBonnie- BOTH arms! I feel so much better now. I will be peeking in on everyone. You are right of course, I will need to be very creative, maybe then I won't feel deprived not taking photos? Looking forward to sharing more photos soon.
DeleteThinking of you as the day approaches. This will be the pause of all pauses. Be well my friend and know that there are many healing thoughts coming your way ~
ReplyDeleteSharon- How right you are! Clever girl- thanks for the heads up. I hope you are enjoying your summer.
DeleteYour flowers are beautiful, Teri. You have magic in your soul.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are with you for Tuesday, Teri. I just read someone's blog who had shoulder surgery last week. If my memory worked I'd tell you who it was too! (one of those little drawbacks of having had a stroke ... short term memory is just what it says. Short).
Blessings, dear Teri.
Clytie- From my magic to yours. I just found that my first photo has a heart in it! SO I linked up. Short is good.
DeleteHope all goes well for you with your surgery and that you have a speedy recovery. Way to go playing around with making your own layers. Really like what you have done here. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteAndrea Dawn- What a pretty name. I look forward to being back making more layers, but until then I will rest and be a good patient. Thanks for coming by.
DeleteSending healing energy your way Teri. I hope your pain will be lessened soon. Your photo is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLaura- I will be using your podcasts to help me through. Many good thoughts for you this summer.
DeleteThink your shots are lovely and really like your processing! Will be thinking about you on your "vacation", and hope your husband is back, even if jet lagged!
ReplyDeleteJeanne - I hope to be able to continue to visit you while I am on vacation. AND yes he is back and sleeping peacefully. For now.
DeleteGood luck on that surgery. I have had a "frozen shoulder" and I have some idea of what you are experiencing, only less. No fun. It will get better. See you in the Eiffel Tower.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Rosemary
I hope to see the Eiffel Tower some day. I will look forward to it... maybe I can find a movie with it.
DeleteGreat images! And I hope your "trip" goes well!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I am nearly packed.
DeleteSending you "rosy" thoughts for a speedy recovery, Teri!
ReplyDeleteBarb- that is very cute! Rosy indeed!!! Thank you,
DeleteOh this is such a beautiful 'artwork' piece, love it! And I don't envy you having to go it with one arm...I did the leg surgery with a leg brace for 4 months, not bending or putting any weight...I couldn't wait to vacuum when it was all over!! haha
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Thanks Kim! It is interesting how even vacuuming can become appealing.
DeleteIt's surprising how important those appendages really are, as you will see when you're without one of them. Good luck, and take care of yourself! Man, I'm so jealous- I wish I could vacuum!
