The exhibit will then be at the Phillips Collection in Washington on Feb. 6 and to the O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe on May 28, 2010—

In the late 70s I fell in love with O'Keefe's "pretty" flowers and desert landscapes. But soon became enamored with her abstracts. I remembering thinking what an amazing woman - she painted when it was still a mans world; despite Steiglitz she was able to almost stay focused.

About the same period while in college for art I was told by my photography professor that my images were too "Kodaky", and barely passed the course.  I remember thinking I really felt moved by my "Kodaky"  images- so I gave up thinking myself an artist and went to Utah with my husband,

Me and my "Kodaky" images are still ok with that turn of events. And my husband and I both very much enjoyed seeing so many of Georgia's paintings.

  1. I saw, too. I actually thought that cafe shot was O'keefe. Kodaky not. Wonderful.
